How Selling Metal to Arrow Metals Works
To sell industrial scrap metal to Arrow Metals, tell us what you have, get a quote, and we'll arrange the shipping. Minimums depend on the metal and grade, from 10,000 lb per load for ferrous down to 100 lb for superalloys and carbide.

Four steps
1. Contact us
Call or send the form. Tell us the metal type, approximate weight, form, and location. Photos help: email them to sales@arrmetals.com.
2. Get a quote
We review the details and quote your material.
3. Schedule shipping
We arrange the shipping that fits your material and site: a roll-off container, a box truck or van trailer loaded with pallets or gaylords, or a dump, gondola, or flatbed trailer. Nonferrous usually ships by box truck or van trailer, the most economical option. Steel and ferrous usually ship by roll-off, gondola, or dump trailer.
4. Settlement
Terms are set per customer.
Load minimums
These are general weight minimums that keep logistics costs per lb from being prohibitive. Typically, the higher the value of the scrap, the lower the minimum, and the grade of the material is a factor as well. As always, there are exceptions, so if you have any questions, please contact us for clarification or call 248.717.0005.
- Ferrous / Steel / Iron: 10,000 lb
- Aluminum / Stainless: 2,000–4,000 lb (depending on grade)
- Copper / Brass / Bronze: 1,000–3,000 lb (depending on grade)
- Other high-value nonferrous: 500 lb+
- Superalloys and Carbide: 100 lb+
We do buy loads below these minimums, but we always advise our customers that increasing the weight per load will offer them a better return.
