Ways to Ship Your Scrap

We arrange every option below. Tell us what you have and we'll recommend the right fit.

Roll-Off Containers (20 to 90 Yard)

Roll-offs are one of our main options for steel and ferrous, especially in Michigan, with its higher weight limits. We offer roll-offs from 20 to 90 yards. The right size depends on your material, volume, and site. Tell us what you have and we'll recommend a container. Contact us for pricing.

One-time cleanouts

Closing a line, clearing a building, or finishing a demolition job? We'll place a container for the job and pick it up when it's full.

Ongoing service

Generating production metal every week? We'll set up a container and a pickup schedule that fits your output.

Box Truck & Van Trailer

Box trucks and van trailers are two sizes of the same thing: an enclosed load on pallets or in gaylords. We arrange the size that fits your load:

Box truck
Box Truck: for smaller loads on pallets or in gaylords, like nonferrous metals, turnings in sealed containers, and other loads that don't need a full trailer.
Van trailer
Van Trailer: for larger palletized or boxed loads, on pallets or in gaylords. Van trailers are the usual choice for nonferrous production scrap, and they also work for some ferrous loads, like scrap machinery and industrial parts.

Nonferrous on pallets or in gaylords: Nonferrous usually ships by box truck or van trailer, on pallets or in used cardboard gaylords (large bulk boxes that sit on a pallet). It's the most economical option, so we use it wherever it fits. We can provide pallets and gaylords, or tell you where to get them. Tell us how many pallets or gaylords you have and we'll arrange the pickup.

Dump Trailer

For loose, heavy bulk metal, like steel and cast iron from production or demolition. Good for loads that don't sit on pallets or in containers.

Gondola Trailer

For high-sided loads of loose bulk metal. A gondola trailer suits large volumes of steel and ferrous scrap, especially from cleanouts and demolition jobs.

Flatbed Trailers

For long, bulky, or tall loads that won't fit in a box or container. We arrange the right flatbed for your load:

Flatbed trailer
Flatbed Trailer: for long or bulky items like beams, plate, and machinery.
Stepdeck flatbed trailer
Stepdeck Flatbed Trailer: for taller scrap machinery and large assemblies. The lower deck gives taller pieces more room than a standard flatbed.
Double drop flatbed trailer
Double Drop Flatbed Trailer: for the tallest and heaviest scrap machinery and large assemblies. The deck sits low between the axles, so very tall pieces can ship. For example, a one-piece transformer or generator about 11'6" tall usually needs a double drop to stay under the common 13'6" legal height limit.

Oversize and overweight loads: In most cases, we can arrange over-width and overweight loads too. They need permits and may need special equipment, so tell us the dimensions and weight when you ask for a quote.

To quote shipping, we'll ask:

Not sure which fits? Tell us what you have and we'll recommend the right option.

  1. Metal: the type, and the grade if you know it
  2. Amount: estimated volume or weight
  3. Storage: loose, on pallets, or in gaylords or bins
  4. Timing: one-time or ongoing
  5. Site access: where a container would sit or how a truck would load
  6. Location: city and state
